We started the day with her breakfast request of crepes. We had 3 fillings, Nutella, applesauce and marmalade, all with powdered sugar on top.
Mark made it back from his trip to Africa in the nick of time, he arrived home around 9:00 am and we were to take treats to her class at 11:45. Whew!! This year we decided to try a healthy birthday treat so we took yogurt parfaits. Overall it was a success, with very few thumbs down. McKenna was so proud of trying something different.
Later that evening we had our family party with cake and presents.
McKenna is a huge fan of "Ladybug Girl" which is a series of books written by Jacky Davis and David Soman. They are so endearing and fun. I scored this year by finding an actual Ladybug Girl doll, her name is Lucy or McKenna.
