Here is a little mood music to introduce you to our weekend events. We started out on Friday by picking the only acceptable shoes for the weekend. Whenever McKenna goes out on the town in these babies she is sure to get attention and she always politely responds with a "Thank you". Once the shoes are chosen they are not to be replaced which means they are worn to gymnastics, grocery shopping, to the bank and to go bowling. Never mind that they are 2 sizes too big and that she falls at least once an hour when they are worn.

Next our main event for the weekend was Bailey's competition in a piano festival. She did great! She played
"Minuet in G" by Bach and "Funny Event" by Kabalevsky. She worked SO hard to get these pieces ready in time. Mark and I are so proud not only of her musical talent but also of her dedication to it when it gets this challenging. We can't wait to find out if she will get an invitation to play at the castle. . . stay tuned.

Next, Bailey really became a grown up little girl this weekend by finally getting her very own email address AND piercing her ears. She was really nervous, but the lady at the German jewelry store was very kind and took really good care of her. She almost backed out at the last minute, which I was fully ready to let her as her lips were turning white and I was having flash backs to the time when she fainted with the loss of her first tooth BUT she pushed through the fear and now feels very feminine and pretty. She can hardly wait to pick out more pairs to change with her outfits.

Now the girls and I are home to stay for the night (Mark is working). So as we get our fingers dirty in all the fun art supplies in the house, we come to a point where we need a little snack. The girls choose fruit roll-ups which contain tongue tattoos and we have a good laugh. Have a good weekend!

Love it all as usual! Mark is definitely a Bass player!! Wow you were right about that article, what a great catch you have Leslie and what a great family you are!
Music makes or breaks me so I love that you add you moods of music and your funky spirit comes out!
Plus Bailey you were a gem before but with two new gems who can resist ya! Way to go girly!
Bailey!
I am so jealous of your playing the piano. That is something I always wanted to do! I now have a piano, but no one to play it.
Good luck with the chance to play in the castle! Keep us posted.
