Brrrrrr!
Look what we woke up to this morning! Back in January we were pleasantly surprise with what we thought was our one and only white snow day . . . but this is March and we are in shock. Mark told me that snow was in the forecast but he thought they were crazy. Even when we woke up this morning it was a typical German view; heavy clouds full of rain. Little did we know within the hour it had turned white. McKenna was the first to see it. She yelled at me that it was snowing and I told her she was silly. Was she hearing voices again? Was Angela teasing her? Then I looked out, I really was so surprised. So instead of doing chores this morning I got out my camera and took pictures out the window and challenged myself by playing with shutter speed. Perfect conditions for learning more about shutter speed: object in motion and beautiful view. McKenna just couldn't take her eyes off of it. Bailey must be going absolutely crazy at school sitting at her desk watching all the fun take place outside. I know she is wishing for her boots, snow pants and mittens and an afternoon of play followed by hot cocoa from the cocomotion machine. Too bad for her as it is now 2:00 and the snow has turned to drizzle. Already the snow on the rooftops has disappeared. How quickly such a treasure leaves us here in Germany. And I can't quite sign off without another McKennaism to share. The scene is set with McKenna in the kitchen drinking juice and Mark in the living room watching TV. McKenna calls out, "Dad my hand is all wet". Mark jumps up to help and finds that her hand is actually soaked in juice. "What in the world did you do that for?!" he cries. She sighs and tells her Dad (in a way that makes you think he should have already known this, isn't it obvious?) "Dad, I looked down at my hand and it said: Put me in the juice! So I did" I think Mark and I need to start a therapy savings account for this child as the voices she hears are increasing in number and mischief. Help us!

One last snow before Spring... things are starting to thaw out around here a bit but I wont hold my breath there is always a storm in March. McKenna is so silly she sure has personality.
By the way about your last post I was relieved to find that it was the girls with play tattoos. I thought from the title you had gone and done something wild and crazy with out me.
Danette, good to know that I'm not totally predictable. I can still keep you (and others) guessing. You just never know what I have up my sleeve. ;)
I do believe her when she says the juice called her to do it! I always am sticking my hands or foot in my juice.. ha ha! That is a hoot! She is one creative silly goose. So you had snowy weather to? My breathe left me when I opened our rolladen too. I was so giddy to see flakes falling all around! What a lucky day to play in the fluffy and quickly yes, wet snow! Did you see my March 3rd post?!! I have a rebel coming home with me in April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh I am so excited to be like you and have fun playing!! My day was made, none the less! Goodnight angel gal.
Sorry but we are so sick of SNOW! We even had a storm today, I am ready for sunshine! But I am glad you could take advantage of it with McKenna and teacher her to love it.
Well I called dad after work today to see how he was doing and I casually said do you want us to come and get you for supper and without hesitation almost before I got it out he said YES, this is great but as you might know I don't cook at night. So lesson learned don't volunteer unless you are prepared ,so I defrosted some meat & we are having a cooked meal. I think dad is very bored without mom there, & she is loving being there cause they are pampering her.
LOVE TO ALL, MOM
I have to say that I think McKenna says the funniest things and has the biggest personality. You have two girls that bring such life to that family=) It is good that I am not the mom cuz now I can always be in stitches.
