Can you really ever be too sick to bake? In my house . . . that would be a no. The girls and I stayed home from church today. We all have such bad head colds. I sound like a man and I am a little concerned about the girls. They are so stuffed up that I think they are oxygen deprived, they can't walk a straight line. Plus their ears are so plugged I find myself yelling everything. I don't need too much of a reason to get the butter, sugar and eggs out to play with. But Valentine's Day seems to be the best reason today. Here are the results:

The cookies are the best recipe I have found in years. They just might trump my famous chocolate chip cookies, they are that good.
So now you can picture what we'll be having tonight as long as you are picturing a big scoop of Vanilla Bean ice cream on the side. Oh, and even better. Mark will be having some too, we expect him to walk in the door any minute.
Gotta love the Love Day!

Those cookies look so yummy. Hope they make you all start feeling better too. Glad Mark is getting home in time to enjoy too. Happy Valentines!!
Well they turned out better than this grandmas. Mine baked into one big blob on the pan. But I guess the kids had fun cutting them out. We didnt get to the frosting.
Glad Mark is home to help you all , hope he has recovered.
HAPPY LOVE TO YOU ALL DAY!!XOXOXOX
We missed your family at church. The cookies sure look delicious!
I should have come to your house instaed of church--ha ha! Hope you are feeling better.
The cookies look great, and I wish we were closer so we might enjoy them in person. So, I was looking at some pictures that a friend of mine, Quinn Brown, posted on Facebook the other day from his college rock band days and noticed a guy with striking similarity to your husband. Lo and behold it was your husband. I guess he played bass with Cinnamon Brown and the Eskimos for a while. Quinn said he would love to get in touch. If you are on FB, try looking him up, or if not, email me at matthew.phillips.dmd@gmail.com and I'll send his contact info. I think they referred to Mark as the "wolfman". Does that sound right?
Best Wishes,
Matt Phillips
