My sweet sister is so ON with a sewing machine. Look at this cute little hat that she made for McKenna. My favorite part? You can barely see it but there is a big black button that holds the neck ribbon in place. Look here to see what inspired her to make one for McKenna
It has been awhile, but sure as shootin' sheeee's baaaack!McKenna has made a habit of pointing at things with her middle finger. I have not brought attention to this, I thought it would pass. But someone did at school and so this is how the conversation goes:
McKenna (while pointing her middle finger at me) "Mommy, why is this a bad thing?"
Mom, "Well, if you point your middle finger at someone it is kinda like sticking your tongue out at them, not very nice"
McKenna, (while pointing first her ring finger then pinky finger), "Is this bad?"
Mom, "no, only your middle finger"
I'm finding she is genuinely taken with this concept and now needs to know in great detail what all her fingers mean. So the next day:
McKenna says, (with her thumb up) "Mom, what does this mean?"
Mom, "That means Good Job!"
McKenna (with her first finger up) "What about this?"
Mom, "That is a good finger to point with but it also means Number One"
McKenna (now holding up her thumb, pinky and first finger at the same time) "Mom, Dad does this, what does it mean?"
Mom, "Rock on!"
For now she is satisfied.
Last night while watching a bit of TV:
McKenna, "Mom what does THIS mean?" She is holding down all her toes except her middle one.
Mom, "It means McKenna is a little craaaazzzzzy" I really didn't say that what I really said is, "That doesn't really mean anything"
McKenna, "Good, that's a little hard to do"

Bailey finally feels put back together with these beauties:
McKenna and Bailey are in love with dogs and they really like Sesame Street (thank goodness because that means they are still total kiddos, even though Bailey will never admit to it) so here is an ode to Bailey, McKenna and Sesame Street. Sesame Street turns 40 this week!

Love the hat , love the glasses alot, love the video but not Conan, and love that McKenna is so serious about life. Too bad there are to many bad mannerisims we have to learn. LOVE GRANDMA
Yay! You got it and she looks as cute as I imagined. I love Bailey's new glasses too. Very nice. Ellie enjoyed the Sesame St. clip. Some things never get old like big bird and pals. It comes on here every morning at 6am.
The hat is ADORABLE! And I LOVE the glasses! (I need new ones too!)
As for Sesame Street, I remember watching the VERY FIRST episode, so many years ago, I was mesmerized! I will always love those little muppets. Especially Grover, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie and Oscar the Grouch!
And, did you know, that the thing with the thumb, first finger and pinky up at the same time also is the sign for I LOVE YOU!? That is a good one to use.

That is so funny about the finger. Jenna did it too and I am glad she just stopped. With Niki he would ask questions like McKenna but probably not stop. Love the hat!
