Belated Boo!
We had a fabulous Halloween, especially because we got to celebrate it 3 times, that's right, 3 times. Great for the kids, exhausting for the mom and 3 times means waaaayyyy too much candy. When we asked McKenna what her favorite candy is she answered, "Trick or Treat candy".

The band was tasked to work on Halloween night which at first I was frustrated with. But in the end it turned out to be a fabulous party, thankfully the shop was gracious enough to let the band families tag along. The band went all out in their costumes. I especially liked the fact that Paul, our guitar player, invited his sister Helga to sit in for a bit. She was a little off though, what with all the mug tipping. But she hit all the notes . . . at least I think she did.

The girls really surprised me while going around the cars to get their treats. This shop went all out with trunk decor. Even I thought a couple were a little unnerving, but the girls? Well, see for yourself: (I promise, these are my girls, not someone else's dressed up like MY girls) That trick or treat candy must be reeealllly good.

At the end of the night, McKenna got the best treat of all. She was put in charge of a cute little bumble bee. She dropped her treat bucket without a second glance.
And what did we do when we got home? Well, we ate candy of course! Lots, and lots of candy. Then we felt a little like this:
Aaahh, nothing like the feel of sugar, hydrogenated oil and high fructose corn syrup to warm your belly, er, I mean, to turn your belly into a cauldron of crap! Happy Halloween!

Thanks for sharing pics, looked just as fun as you described. GREAT Pumpkin carving! LOVE GRANDMA
I am glad you all had a good Halloween! The girls look cute.
Looks like you all had a blast! Cute girls!
Love the pumpkins! The costumes are cute too! We too are overloaded from 3 events. I think we'll be donating a lot of candy to Mike's work. :-)
Glad you had a good Halloween. Now that I have a child halloween is a lot more fun. I like how you projected the pumpkins I'll have to try that next time. The girls are brave not so sure I would be willing to take candy from the goblin in that first car. ScaRy!
Looks like you had a fun Halloween! I agree with Danette, Halloween is MUCH more fun when you have little ones! They must have had awesome candy in some of those trunks - there is NO WAY my little ones would have gone in there! They cried in the Halloween section at Target! Ü
How I love your postings! I love the puking pumpkin (before checking the blog Paul had been telling me how great it was), and love the picture of Mark and the rest of the guys in the band in their costumes (I think Mark should keep the long hair-what a great look!). Wish we were there to share in all of the sweet treats!
I loved playing catch-up and reading all the entries I have missed...so hmmm...firt the purse cake is unbelievable, wow, so pretty. and I'm glad I got a dose of Mckennaisms....and I hear ya on the whole part-time husband-rock star wife-buisy hubby thing....wow I'm verbal too and I think it's better for my own blood pressure to now avoid the band building as much as possible...It's hard watching some of the husbands there all the time, coming home for lunches and just being able to be there for there families more..NOT FAIR ok I know-our husbands are in TnG it's just different...ok Now I feel better...
Hope all is well, I've been out of the blogging seen-can't figure out why I can't get on mine...still working on it....talk to ya soon
Jamie
