Beautiful German Day!
We couldn't resist the sun today and went exploring. We discovered a new trail in the woods near our village. Of course Mark and the girls were just there to have fun and collect things from the earth, but myself on the other hand always has a plan! I decided to take the photography challenge, shooting into the light, posted at Shutter Sisters. Be sure to check out the maternity shot that introduces this challenge, so great! It was intriguing, shooting into the light. I've always thought that is a big no no as you are challenged with backlight. BUT I love the results:
This photo reminds me of the primary song that starts "I am like a star shining brightly, shining for the whole world to see". That is my Bailey. Don't you just love the captured sun rays and the sunlight cast onto her hair. Leave it to my girls to be the best props while mom continues to develop her photography skills. The next two are examples of limiting your depth of field while being able to choose what is in focus. In other words, I'm using the portrait setting, centering the viewfinder on the part I want focused, pushing the button halfway down then recomposing the shot. Just love that effect!
What a great day! Nothing like a brisk walk in the cool air that is trying to jump into springtime. That is one thing that I love about the German culture, they walk everywhere all the time. There are times I feel a little guilty as I'm driving my car into the village and I see people out and about working their body. We have decided as a family to take this German challenge and use our feet more than our seats! German trails rock!

Great Pics!!!
I envy your ability to go walking the trails. I don't think we will see any trails until June. It will take that long for all the snow to melt! I will just have to stick to the tread mills at the Sports Academy. :-(
I love you all. Laurie
Love the pictures! The family one is awesome, and the one of Bailey in the sun is so cute she is like a shining star. I still need to work on the aperture challenge with my camera looking for the right muse to catch my eye.
