First Day of School

For Bailey, this means 7th grade!  It promises to be a big year for Bailey.  She has been challenged to take the German 1 course for high school credit and jumped right in.  From what I understand, you get an invitation to take this class. She is very involved in her Young Women's church group and is actively working on setting and completing goals in the Personal Progress Program. To add to the excitement of this year (SO excited!), we have just learned that Bailey has advanced from Junior Varsity to Varsity on the Kingfish Swim team.  We are so proud of her hard work!  This means a lot more practice, 2 hours four times a week.  If there isn't a meet on Saturday, there is practice.  She will be fine tuned and do great things to work for CHAMPS in February.  Sometime during the week we'll fit in piano too!
McKenna is starting 1st grade this year.  What change has happened in McKenna since we first moved here 5 years ago.  She was timid (I pulled her to class for the entire 1st year in pre-K), she wanted to stay at home with mom (well, she still does), she did not want anyone to mess with her comfort zone.  Now, she is more independent, and walks to school without a care in the world.  Even the fact that she is missing her 2 front teeth, and has been missing them since spring, doesn't slow her down.  She is now officially a ballerina and is going to perform in the Nutcracker this December.

I only hope I am up to the task of helping the girls complete all their goals and activities this year!  Oh, and I have a few of my own as well . . . but I won't tell you about them until I complete them hee hee!

They look so cute and grown up! It's funny because when I read that Bailey started 7th grade, I was like, " wow isn't she Jordan's age?" and then I had to remind myself that Jordan is in 7th grade too. Where does the time go? For some reason, I'm behind a good year. We miss you guys and need to get together. Maybe we can plan something soon.

We are so thrilled w/ both of the girls and how they are taking on the challenges presented to them. So glad Bailey is taking a real German class, that she is on varsity, (what an opportunity so early) and keeping up w/ piano. She will achieve her YW Goals in style.
Mckenna, I have always thought she should be in a ballet class , those long thin legs, arms and fingers are perfect. Those 2 front teeth will be in for Christmas , like the song says.
We are so proud of all you do and love you no matter what you accomplish.
So what are these Leslie goals?

Wow they are growing up. So proud of Bailey for going varsity that is quiet awesome. I can imagine that ballet suits McKenna well. Oh how I wish we could just cruise on over there. I checked on the price of tickets. To see the possibilities of joining the christmas cruise *sigh* it would cost an arm and of course a leg as well.
