Divisionals in Berlin

What does an Olympic sized pool in Berlin look like? This:
What a cool experience for Bailey to swim in this competition. Not to mention the fact that Berlin is now one of my favorite European cities, which is pleasantly surprising since it was on my "if it works out we'll go" trip list. More on Berlin later, right now I feel the need to brag on my girl.

Here is a picture of the Kingfish team meeting before the meet starts: Bailey is to the right of the 2 coaches in white t-shirts.
She entered in the 50 freestyle, 50 breast stroke and the 200 freestyle. We won't know her exact times until the meet results are posted (there is a conversion to the times since it is a 50 meter pool) but we are pretty sure she improved on everything. If fact, if you really want to know how it went take a looksie at this:
That is Bailey wide out in front in the 50 free. And this is what it looks like to win her heat: Go Bailey! If you look straight up from Bailey, there is Mark, not doing his timing job because he is so distracted by Bailey's brilliance in the pool.
How does Bailey prepare for her events? Let's just take a walk through: First, she is Chatty Cathy, talking up her plan of attack with her teammates: I think she is saying, "dude, after this race, I have to show you something on my iTouch"
Plus, she hangs with all her buddies. I love watching them cheer each other on:
She is thinking "I'm just gonna relax a minute before I proceed into bullet speed", or "I think I have the best parents ever, they rock", or "I. love. to. swim.", or "this moment of solitude is helping me to achieve my Chi"
then, "What is that I hear?", as she tilts her head to the voice saying, "It is time to get it on!"
"I'm gonna tear up this lane" Game face? Check:
"Listen for the beep" Position? Check:
And at the end of the race, there is Mark, giving her a "good job kid!"
What does the rest of the Frandsen family do all day long?
Mark times the races:
McKenna runs rampant with her little friends for 8-9 hours straight,
to the point that when we strapped her into the car, she fell asleep before we left the parking garage, as she was saying "Mom, I am . . . " and she was out. I think she was about to say, "Mom, I am the most tired I have ever been in my whole life"

And what do I do? I document it of course!

Way to go Bailey!!!!! What a mulit-talanted gal! If I were there I would give her one of my whistles, like I do at the boys games, and scream my guts out! So proud of you Bauiley! What wonderful experiences you are having! So proud of you!

Great job Bailey!! You need to come and teach me how to swim since I am a land loving animal and not a wonderfully fast fish like you! Then I can teach you how to.... I don't think I can teach you anything. You are one amazing kid, oh sorry young adult. Have fun!
