How can I possibly be blue?

We have survived our first week without Mark. Barely. I'm trying to adjust to a cold bed, a house that is too quiet during the day and eerily noisy at night. I'm adjusting to having the full weight of the household on my shoulders. I hate taking the trash out. But having said that, I am enjoying more "me time" when the girls go down for bed, less laundry and easier meals because we have more leftovers. It is interesting to me that the challenges have not had to do with frustrating parenting moments, in fact, the girls have been more helpful, cheerful and patient with each other, noticeably different. Today for example as I'm working on balancing the checkbook I step out to a clutter free living room and kitchen. The girls secretly cleaned while I was in the office.

It has been a week full of challenges and issues. every. single. day. But at the end of the day, this is who I get to spend my time with and take care of . . . it's all worth it.

Here is the conversation McKenna had with Mark today on the phone:

McKenna, "I want you to come home right now."
Dad, "I can't, but I will see you in a couple of weeks"
McKenna, "But I'm tired of taking care of your room, and your money is going away so you need to come get it."
Dad, "I'm sorry, but I can't"
McKenna, "Me and Bailey and mom are starting to loose our patience with you."

I dig the new layout! It's great to know my girls can band together to get things done and help each other out. My only concerns now are my money leaving me and you girls losing your patience with me. I hope I can redeem myself when I get home. I love and miss you more than you know.

Glad you guys are surviving. It's the worst when there is a cold bed, strange noises, and a full trash bin. So glad the girls are doing well too. I could use some secret cleaners around here. Too bad Chip and Adah don't have that ability. Where did Bailey learn that trick? She is good at it not sure I could do it so well.

Mom is booking tickets as I type so get ready cause we are gonna be there!!!

Oh man!! I feel for you. Cold bed and nighttime noises are the worst!!! You are all in our thoughts and prayers every single day and night. Keep giggling!!!

Oh Leslie, my heart goes out to you... I've been there and those longs tours stink!!!

Those clips of your girls are so cute!! How old are they now?

Still laughing... seriously! Losing patience AND money! Don't be so blue my dear... you have great friends here (if I can say so myself) who love and adore you AND your girls. They never lose patience with 1 of their 2 most favorit-ist babysitters! (psst... that's me and Keisha GG!)

I've been saving you from getting sick... now we must hang out. I believe it's time that we do something. I can't save you from the cold bed, but we can watch a movie or something!!!!!!!!!!! You tell me when!!!

You will find a better you in the mean time too.. I am still finding "me" but hey it is patience I needed anyway.. love you!!

Oh mann those girls are hilraious! I was cracking up and still have a funny smile on my face! I hope that you girls are doing ok...you all are strong Frandsen ladies so there's no doubt that everything thing is smooth sailing! I know that this is only the beginning, but it doesn't make things easier huh? The end will be here before you know it though! Miss you guys so much!

And I love the new layout! It's so pretty!

I love the eye rolling thing. Where is in the world did she learn how to do that?

What some darling girls! Even with the eye rolling! My Mom used to tell me that my eyes would stay like that if I kept doing it! Then I had to do eye excersizes just like that...go figure!!
keep smiling and laughing... it will make the time go faster!
