Happy Birthday to Me!

Why dread 'em?! Embrace 'em! Thanks to snail mail and for my birthday to drop right into the middle of a hectic week, I am able to have an extended celebration of my body aging another year. Yippee (said with heavy monotone sarcasm)

My mom pulled through with another great card and unique gift, a bracelet made of spoon handles! Next time you see me, just ask to see IT! Now let me fill you in on a little secret about my fabulous Father in-law (no, I'm not sucking up, he really is fab!) He has a splendid talent in the fact that he, hands down, picks out the perfect card for every single doggone occasion. Seriously, hits it on the nail! I cannot compete! He most likely has some help from my equally fab Mother in-law but let's just stroke his ego a little bit, he deserves it! Here is the one from my in-laws, oops I mean my McKenna, wink, wink. Front is above, and here is the inside. LOVE it!

Want to know how the hubby faired this year? Well, it worked out for him, he did good! He brought me fresh flowers, and no less packed them home on his bike while balancing the buds in his backpack. AND he made me dinner. LOVE the gifts of service.

So as I bid my 19th birthday goodbye I pray my body holds out (and up or in, that is, in certain places) and that I get to have another wonderful year being Mrs. Mark Frandsen and MOM!

Leslie, just had to stop in and say hello and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I adore birthdays and think everyone's should be treated like a national holiday! My sister says "If you have a bad birthday, you just didn't advertise it well enough". Anyway, just wanted to tell you I truly adore reading up on your blog. I signed up with the Google Reader on my homepage where they send me notifications if people have something new posted but then I get to be selfish and scan through it all but never reply and never show evidence I visited. So, just wanted to let you know I love vicariously living through your European dream you're living.
