Holland (Part 1)

I can honestly say that our Dutch experience was better than I had imagined! Our days in Holland were visually stimulating as well as providing us with much education and reflection. I'll tease you a bit by showing you a photo of a bulb field in the title above. But there will be more color ahead in future posts. We have so much to share that I will bring it to you in parts. As we left Germany heading toward the Belgium border we were hit with a blizzard, we are talking complete white out. My first thought was, "This is no spring break" and I was thankful I packed the winter clothes. But as we arrived in Noordwijk aan Zee, where our apartment was, this was our view:

All along Mark and I wanted to stay near the north sea to have a bit of a beach experience. Plus we are out of the city of Amsterdam and can enjoy more of the country view. You can see by the layers that we really had to bundle up to enjoy it but the breathtaking view was awesome and I got to play with my camera during the beautiful sunset. What a great way to start our adventure! After looking at the backside of the Volvo for 5 hours (our friends the Hammons joined us) and burning their license plate into our memory forever . . .
once we arrived we looked like this:
Travis was a great leader and we feel the two families really make a great team! Hum . . . wonder what other adventures we can fit in before you leave us!?

i must say that is one sexy looking tail end. honestly i still laugh to myself at mark reciting my license by memory. i hope i wasn't a leader hog, i really just thought you wanted me out in front to pick off all the cops:) now that i think on it i should have asked if you wanted to take a turn to change up your view, wow i kinda suck huh.... sorry. i just added it up and you two spent a good 18 hours staring at my rear end. so you may now be so sick of volvos that you will never ever buy one. great pics btw. could you email kris a full res image of her and roanan at kinderdijk.
