Big Kid and Little Kid Playtime

German's really know how to celebrate milestone birthdays. It is a BIG deal when you hit all the _0 birthday's like 20, 30, 40 etc. So when Mark's friend Michael turned 40 he really did it right. His party started in the morning and went on til the wee hours of the morning despite the cold rainy weather. He really put on a spread and our bellies were taken care of as well as our ears. This is a stage set up in his back yard where he asked his fellow musician buddies to come and play. This was a great gig for the guys as it was not an "official function" and so they were allowed to do what they wanted, which meant a kickin' set list and a chance for everyone to solo and show off. Mark even got to sing back ups on this classic rock song "Mustang Sally". You can't help but shake your bootie when this tune hits your ears.



Today I got the pleasure of perusing IKEEEEEAAAAA! and found this fun little puppet show stage for the girls to play with and all for the grand total of 3 euro! The girls have been experimenting in the car with a new way to help their relationship flourish. McKenna has figured out that Bailey has an incredible imagination and is a great story teller. So as we drive the stories flow and the smiles and giggles fill the car. SO, when I brought this little prop home today, I kid you not, the girls played for 2 hours straight together. McKenna settled in for the long ride by gathering pillows and blankets and putting on her PJ's as she snuggled into the corner of the couch waiting for the show to begin. Bailey held her attention for the full 2 hours ending with a standing ovation and a request for "more please"! I can honestly say that when my 2 girls have this great of time together it gives me the warm fuzzies and all the world seems just right! Creative playtime rocks!
