I am the luckiest girl in the world because I married a bass player. Think about it, the bass player is the glue that holds the band together, gets it back on track when members go off, all while remaining in the background away from all the glamor and attention. (How many bass players can you name compared with lead vocalists and guitar players? . . . thats right not many) OH, and not to mention the fact that you can actually physically feel the bass player's music beating in your heart. This weekend Mark gave me a special treat by taking me with him on the road. He arranged for the kids to go to a friend's overnight (thanks Josh and Kassie=) and took care of all the details. All I had to do was think of how to spend a whole afternoon and night alone in a hotel room. Don't you worry, I was busy with a pedicure, facial, manicure and a new hair color. All while watching hours of my favorite DVD's. What a sweet and much needed gift to give me. Now all we have to do is figure out how I can go on the road with him all the time! Bass player husbands rock! I highly recommend them.
